Halloween 2011

Okay, so you're probably wondering who the heck all these people are. right to left: Spencer boy, Mason's friend Haley, Julia's friend Taylor, Spencer's friend Lanie, Spencer's "Best Buddy" Grant, Mason, Julia (behind Mason if you look really close), Julia's friend Olivia, my friend Alyssa, and me!

So Halloween 2011 was pretty awesome. we had a great time. Jules was a Masquerade lady, I was a witch with a really tiny hat and a really long dress, Spence was a Ninja Warrior, and cute little Maser racer (who's still melting hearts) was a "Tigaw". Mason can be pretty scary when he roars.

School is back in swing and we are getting there too. Spence was so excited to start preschool so that he could be big like the girls. I picked him up after his first day and all he could talk about was this "really pretty girl" with dark hair and a rainbow headband. He says her name is Wizzy, but i think not. Maybe Lizzy or Izzy? Man am i in trouble!

Random thought for today

Have you ever gotten really excited about something while you're hearing about it or learning about it. I have. It is this tingly, hot rush of motivated excitement. Like when i go to a scrap booking party where the person is selling cool, paper, or stamps and i think to myself: "Yeah, i could totally do that!" and visions of 5 years worth of scrapbooking all done, come to your mind, or people staring in awe at my really trendy, off beat, but still pretty, hand made cards that i made for them, just because. My order comes in, i get the stuff, store it neatly away for that moment when i will get that creative urge and can turn to my new artsy outlet. But there is one problem: where did that urge go? Oh, wait, look, there it is, burried beneath my eternal to do list. Hello there, creative urge (and time for you), i see you down there at the bottom of the pile, i'll get back to you... some day.

Christmas pic. 2009

So here is the family Christmas picuture that none of you got. My new years resolution is not to unnecessarily apologize, so i wont. And i'm not sorry that you didn't get to see my chubby cheeks and Dan's squinty eyes (don't the kids look cute though) in our Christmas card. I sometimes wonder that it says "in real life" on this blog. I'm not sure if you all are ready for that. But here's a start, although i like to think that my cheeks are a little less chubby these days (still nursing a 23 lb, 9 month old, that's got to be doing something right?)
Good to be back.
